I had a fantastic stay at this resort. The location is perfect, right on the beach with easy access to shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and comfortable, perfect for our family getaway. However, the bathrooms could use a bit of updating, which was a minor disappointment. The amenities at the resort are excellent, especially the kids' adventure program and the multiple pools. The value for money is solid, but some updates would enhance the overall experience.

Our stay at Golden Sands Penang was quite the rollercoaster. While we were greeted with beautiful grounds and a stunning beach view, the initial room we received was far from acceptable. Wet carpets, musky odors, and even a needle found in the suite really dampened our spirits. Luckily, the staff was quick to act and provided a better room, but the experience felt quite frustrating, especially during a family reunion time. Ideally, we'd have liked a smoother arrival.
